The IMIP project addressed the recurrent lack of sustainable management, operation and maintenance (MOM) and increase water productivity by transferring the MOM schemes to private operators. In Rupganj, the work done focused on mitigating irrigation problems caused by flood issues. The results will be higher yields, larger irrigated areas and higher cropping intensities including diversification into higher return cropping systems.
