WSIDP was designed to support institutional reforms and capacity development whilst expand access to services to historically underserved populations. The project has succeeded in addressing gender disparities, institutional strengthening, mobilising private sector financing and contributed to poverty reduction. In Kuito, the implementation was centred on water distribution, expansion of the distribution system, reservoir construction, interconnection and reconfiguration of the supply network and the construction of supply network and home connections.
