WSIDP was designed to support institutional reforms and capacity development while simultaneously expanding access to services to historically underserved populations. The project has succeeded in addressing gender disparities, institutional strengthening, mobilising private sector financing and contributed to poverty reduction. The project's success has led to other developments, including a pilot PPP arrangement for ‘Structuring of a Public-Private Partnership to deliver the water services in the Cabinda province’, funded by PPIAF.
