The project's objectives was to restore the water supply and failed sanitary services, improve living conditions in squatter settlements by providing access to clean water and improved latrines, strengthen the institutions responsible for the operationalisation and management of urban and environmental services through technical assistance and training. The project succeeded in improved living conditions in squatter settlements, institutional strengthening and policy reform, whilst improving water supply and sanitary services.
