The Salma Dam is a landmark infrastructure project designed for irrigation, power generation and other benefits to the people of Afghanistan. It will generate 42 MW of power and irrigate up to 80,000 hectares of land. Certain key objectives include the stimulation of Afghan agriculture to significantly improve its nascent industry, whilst further improving the renewable energy sources at the government's disposal.
