The Government of Afghanistan has taken steps to reduce its reliance on imported power through the creation of a wind power generation plant. The key objectives would involve the supply of sustainable and cost effective energy achieving self sufficiency. Such processes would result in socio-economic development of the local population, provide service to a variety of actors and support the development of local, cleaner industries.
