Designed as a collaborative initiative, the project aimed at supporting sustainable power supply in Herat. In total, 1,500 households, 100 businesses and emergency services such as hospitals have benefited from at least one megawatt of electricity, generated from solar panels and wind turbines. Furthermore, this has supported the growth of private industries whilst saving 2,100 tons of CO2.
